The CCI Israel-Ukraine at the FOOD SEC & TECH IL Conference

In January 2025, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Israel-Ukraine participated in the exhibition and presented its booth at the global food security conference, FOOD SEC & TECH IL CONFERENCE.

Food security is not only about providing the population with quality food products but also represents a crucial element of national security. It encompasses aspects such as public health, national resilience, the economy, ecology, employment, and territorial development. It also involves the rational use of natural resources, the adoption of sustainable technologies, combating food loss, and promoting local agriculture.

The main objective of the conference was to discuss the development of a national strategic plan for food security. Representatives of government bodies, scientific institutions, the private sector, and public organizations attended the event. Participants explored methods, approaches, and solutions to enhance Israel’s food resilience.

The summit was organized by Stier Group with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of Israel, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), Tel Aviv University, The Food Industries Association of Israel, the Israel Innovation Authority, and other partners. The event was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Israel.

As part of its participation in the conference, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Israel-Ukraine highlighted key areas for developing Israel-Ukraine cooperation in food security. These included fostering scientific and technological partnerships between higher education institutions, collaborating on agro-innovation initiatives, and implementing advanced agrotechnological solutions.

These initiatives open new opportunities for the exchange of cutting-edge technologies and best practices in agriculture. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Israel-Ukraine actively supports the strengthening of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Israel across all priority sectors.
