Ukrainian delegation on MUNIWORLD 2022
From December 6 to 8, 2022, the Israeli international platform MUNIWORLD presented a three-day program dedicated to global sustainability, municipal innovation, urban planning and mobility. Mayors and high-ranking officials from the world’s leading cities (about 10,000 people) gathered to demonstrate the best “smart city” solutions, share experience and discuss the key challenges facing modern cities.
MUNIWORLD 2022 is a part of the international municipal innovation exhibition and conference MUNIEXPO, held by the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel in cooperation with the Israeli capital of Jerusalem.
The Ukrainian delegation, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Israel-Ukraine and the Association of Ukrainian Cities, took part in this significant event. Also, an exclusive interview with the Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, who was unable to attend in person, was an important part of the main program of the conference.
As part of their visit, representatives of the city councils of Odesa, Vinnytsia and Poltava attended the official opening and gala evening in Tel Aviv with the participation of the President of the State of Israel, held meetings with the mayors of Israeli cities, attended a reception with the Mayor of Jerusalem and got acquainted with the innovative solutions of the Israeli capital.
Also, the Chamber of Commerce Israel-Ukraine prepared for the delegates a separate program of visiting the plant for the production of security rooms and protective structures “RB DOORS” in the city of Ashkelon, which included a plant tour and a demonstration of industrial facilities, as well as a discussion of the Israeli model for regulating the construction of protective structures to ensure the safety of the civilian population and infrastructure.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Israel-Ukraine thanks the Association of Ukrainian Cities and representatives of the Ukrainian delegation who were able to take part in MUNIWORLD, despite all the objective difficulties associated with this visit. We hope that our interaction and acquaintance with the Israeli experience in protecting the population in the face of a permanent threat will help bring new solutions to ensure the safety of citizens in Ukraine.
The CCI Israel-Ukraine also express their gratitude to the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel, in partnership with which we have been hosting Ukrainian delegations to MUNIWORLD since 2019.
